Tropical Adventures in Education (TAE) was developed to offer exciting & comprehensive educational travel programs that integrate a structured academic curriculum with applied research experience. Owner and lead educator, Tom McDonald, has over 20 years of personal travel experience in Central America, 6 years of classroom teaching experience, 7 years of organizing & leading student travel programs, and an academic & research background in tropical botany and restoration ecology. TAE and the programs offered were developed as part of the Masters in Science for Biology Teachers (MSBT) program through the University of Washington.
