Program Name: "Name-a-Turtle” for Turtle Conservation in Costa Rica

1. We will sell a small rubber turtle (see photo) for a $5 donation.

2. The donor will receive one of the rubber turtles as a token of their donation.

3. The donor will then fill out a special commemorative postcard designed with Sue Coccia at Earth Art International (www.earthartinternational.com) with their "Name, address, etc" and then place a name on the blank provided of the person they want to honor.

4. The postcard will stay with the student or fundraiser.

5. When the student/group goes to Costa Rica with Tropical Adventures in Education and works at the Playa Hermosa Turtle Reserve, a released turtle or turtle egg collected will be named as the donor requested.

6. Upon completion of the trip, and before departing CR, we will then date the postcard, purchase stamps and mail the cards to the donors from CR. The postcard will then be the "receipt" or memento, along with the rubber turtle, of their contribution to the program.

Breakdown of the Donation: $5

1. Cost of turtle, card, postage: $.50-$1 (or less if possible)

2. Fundraiser’s portion: $3 (money to be used toward students’ trip to CR)

3. Donation to the reserve: $1 (or any additional proceeds above the costs)
